This juried competition, open to all Big Island artists, pushes participant creativity beyond the norm. The invited Juror: Sally French, is eager to see PORTAL realized in a wide variety of ways.
So what does PORTAL mean? Check any dictionary or thesaurus and use those synonyms to spark your creativity. Then force your interpretation in unforeseen directions that, however unusual, still leave the theme PORTAL evident to Juror and onlookers alike.
