The Waimea Arts Council and Thelma Parker Memorial Public Library are offering a community art class on Saturday March 7 called Origami Shadow Boxes. Artist Lorrie Taylor hosts the session on Saturday March 7 from 10 am – noon in the Thelma Parker Memorial public library meeting room.
In this class beginning artists ages 6 and up will fold their own origami shadow box and add small treasures. Students are encouraged to find treasures on a nature walk or bring small treasures from home to display in their box.
Open to the public ages 6 and up. Children under 10 need to be accompanied by an adult. Origami box materials are provided by the Waimea Arts Council.
The class is free but registration is required. Space is limited. Call 808-887-6067.
